An experienced surgeon, Terry McEnany, MD, has held faculty and attending physician appointments at leading hospitals across the United States. He most recently served as staff surgeon and chair of the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Luther Hospital, Mayo Clinic Health Services in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Terry McEnany, MD, joined Luther Hospital in 1993, having previously led as chief of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, California, and clinical associate professor of surgery for the University of California San Francisco.
Dr. Terry McEnany also held the Klassen Professorship of thoracic surgery at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he was chief of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. He stands out as former professor of surgery at Brown University Medical School and surgeon-in-chief of the Miriam Hospital in Rhode Island, as well as chief of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Recently married, Dr. McEnany now serves as a ski instructor in Aspen, Colorado, and volunteers his free time with organizations that support under-served populations.
